Wolf Packs

What is a Wolf Pack?

We don’t have to be lone wolves any more! A wolf pack is a place for you and a small group of our community to come together to support one another. It’s better to go on this journey with others who can share learnings, frustrations, wins, and when we’ve got no clue what we should be doing! Wolf Packs are available to all Younging members and above.

We’re not going to tell you when or how often you meet but we are here to provide guidelines to make the group more valuable.  You can also change groups or abstain if its not for you - no one is going to force you to do anything you dont like.

Why do we think they’re a good idea?

We think they’re a cool idea and here’s why;

  • dig you out of a hole

  • Be a shoulder to cry on

  • Refer each other leads

  • Make intros to partners

  • Provide advice

  • Share and comment on each others social posts

  • Hold you accountable

  • Partner on marketing initiatives to spread the cost and burden

There’s only good that come of it.

How should they work?

We suggest an initial intro call for one-hour to get to know each other. Share things like;

  • why you joined bd matters and what you hope to get out of it

  • Who you are and your business

  • Your ideal client profile

  • Your business development struggles and what you want to learn

  • How often you would like to meet and when would be convenient

You should complete this template which shows what you would like to achieve in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and a year.  We’ll also set you up with a private Slack group so you can communicate more easily (some people may prefer to use other channels like WhatsApp).

From there on, I would setup a regular meeting once a month, every two months or every quarter. An agenda could be:

  • What you’re working on right now

  • How the pipeline is looking

  • New things you’ve tried

  • Successes and failures

  • Discuss the latest BD Matters Masterclass or Interview

  • Agree what you would like to achieve by the next meeting (Also write down your accountability promises to review them next time around)

What’s next?

If you haven’t been assigned to a Wolf Pack and you’re a Younging member or above, please get in touch.

It would be great if you could share some of the highlights or findings to share back with the wider group in the Slack channel as I’m sure there are plenty others in the same boat as you.

Do keep us posted with how they’re going and if you would like a mentor/facilitator to jump on a call every now and again, then please shout.

Enjoy your wolf pack!
