How do we go beyond our pledge signatures and improve mental health, cause less wastage and reduce costs?
About this event
First off... we love pitching! This is not an anti-pitch debate.
This is about putting some more skin to the bone of the already established Pitch Positive Pledge. BD Matters is bringing an experience panel together to highlight some of the good and naughty practices that we need to cut out.
How can we make the pitch process more positive for everyone involved and stop the months and days lost to pitches for clients who are unnecessarily "shopping around"?
ThePitch Positive Pledge is designed to help both clients and agencies enhance the existing pitch process by focusing on behaviours in a bid to improve mental health, cause less wastage and reduce costs.
Have you got a great example of where a more ethical stance was taking on pitching?
Have you ever managed to avoid a pitch through smarter thinking?
Have you considered the environmental impact of pitching?
Pitching done badly and for poor reasons can have a huge negative impact on staff (stress, long hours, shifting priorities to name a few) and leave plenty of wastage in it's wake.
There are huge brands doing it the right way, but often it's those that sit outside the FTSE500 that don't know best practice and something needs to change.
BD Matters is hosting an event in partnership with the IPA. We are championing their Positive Pitch Pledge and would love to hear your thoughts and past experiences when it comes to pitching for work.
Let’s come up with practical action we can all take to improve the way we pitch.
